All Things New

Hello Spring! Your newness captures me each year. I long for the warmth, the sun, and the beginning of new life on the ground.

Every year it seems I am longing for spring even more. I'm guessing it's because we have children and start to feel cooped up. Yet whatever the reason, this new season gives me such energy and passion. I love to crack my window, smell the fresh air, and feel a light spring breeze on my face, I love it even more if I can just relax and read a book in the middle of that scene!

Spring is a constant reminder to me about newness. Starting new. New seasons. New mercies. This particular spring arrival has been reminding me so much of how far my family has come. How far I have come.

Here's the thing about change and progress.

Every day we are growing. Every day God is shaping us into who He wants us to be. Little by little. Step by step.

Don't worry about how far you have left to go. Don't worry about the lack of progress in your child's therapy. Look for the small growth. Celebrate it!!!

Did you child respond kindly to a friend instead of responding in anger or violence? Did your tween only stomp his feet as he walked away instead of screaming at you as well? Did you keep your cool and not lose it when your buttons got pushed for the tenth time today?

Celebrate the growth! Little by little see how far you've come!

Remember, God is in the business of making all things new.
