June in Review

Toward the end of each month (or in this case the beginning of the next month.), I will post a review of my 2019 goals, what I'm currently reading, as well as other tidbits of information. I hope you like these monthly posts. Let me know if you'd like to see other information in this roundup!

June Goals

I currently don't have any big goals. I'm planning to do a full re-evaluation of them. I just haven't had the time to sit down and do it yet, or even the motivation to do so. I'm simply taking a little breather when it comes to big goals. You can read more about my heart behind this reevaluation here. I do however have some summer goals that I'm working on:
  • Read with the kids and support them through our summer reading challenge | I am making progress. Although, like I shared here, it is slower than I imagined it would be. My goal is to read at least 5 books a week with them.
  • Read to the kids | I was able to do this several times. I'd like to get even more reading in though. It's hard to make something a habit when life is really full right now.
  • Have a fun summer accomplishing our bucket list | We are doing great with this! We've got 5 out of 14 done. And we are having a lot of fun in the process.

Currently Reading

  • Boundaries | Listening to this one on audiobook. It is so good. If you struggle at all with making or keeping boundaries, or saying no, this one should be a must read!
  • Searching for Spring | I have enjoyed two other books by Christine Hoover so when I saw this one I thought I would like it too. To be honest, though, I'm struggling to get into it. But I'm going to keep pressing on.
  • The Brave Learner | I am so excited about this one! I'm only just starting it, but already feel encouraged and inspired within the first couple of chapters.
  • The Miracle Morning | I truly do want to make my morning matter. So when I saw this book and that I could read it for free with Prime Reading, I snagged it up for the month.

My Favorite Things

  • Chick-fil-a's Strawberry Passion Tea Lemonade. Yun! Yum! Yum! As pictured above!
  • Mild weather. As a whole, June was a pretty mild month here in Louisville. We played outside a TON (when it wasn't raining!).
