December Goals

It's nearing the end of the year and I can just feel the excitement growing within me. I'm ready for the fresh start. Not that anything is going on that is making me hungry for a fresh start, I just love the feeling of January 1st.

But maybe you are feeling the necessity for a fresh start? If so, I want to encourage you. You don't have to wait for the new year. You can start fresh today. Right now.

Each day, week, month, and year is here as a display of God's great mercy showered on us.

You can lean into that newness right now. This month. Today.

My goals for the final part of the year are here. And below are my specific goals for December:

Daily Goals

  • Pray for my husband Michael | It has been a joy to work on this habit. Truly. I love being able to pray on my husband's behalf each day.
  • Up by 7:30 | I NEED to make this goal happen.
  • Write something | It is so refreshing for me to write each day.
  • Work on my upcoming project | I'm getting pumped for this project. This month I want to work on it daily. p.s. I posted a little clue on Instagram earlier this week.
  • Daily Advent reading with the kids | This is special for this month, being Advent. We are reading through Unwrapping the Greatest Gift.
  • Pray for my son Jonathan | This again is an honor and a gift and it is shifting my heart in the process.

Weekly Goals

  • Exercise two times | My husband and I are trying to encourage one another and work together to make better choices for our health. I'm starting here.
  • Spend time with the kids individually | This is about quality time with each child, building our relationship and bond.
  • Family Fun | This is about creating a family culture of fun.

Monthly Goals

  • Pray over friendships | Another prayer goal that I consider an honor.
  • Celebrate Christmas | This is going to be achieved gradually as we read our Advent book, visit family, and then officially celebrate as an individual family on Christmas day.
  • Start reading Alive in Him | I made it a goal to read more gospel-rich books. I'm excited to dig into this one.
  • Co-host the Powersheets prep work party | I'm so excited about this event coming up this month. I ordered all our Powersheets earlier this week! Can. Not. Wait.
  • Launch my new project | That's right. After months of planning, I am hoping to launch my new project this month. I haven't been very consistent each month to work on it. But with my daily goal, I'm hoping to get this out into the world.
