May in Review

Toward the end of each month, I post a review of my goals, what I'm currently reading, a homeschool update, as well as other tidbits of information. I hope you like these monthly posts, they are usually well received. Let me know if you'd like to see other information in this roundup!

May Goals

You can find all of my 2020 goals here. Here are my May goals with updates:
  • Daily: No Phone 9-1 | I did excellent on this goal, only missing a handful of days overall.
  • Daily: Drink 3 water bottles | Only accomplished this goal about a third of the time. I will continue to work on it!
  • Daily: Daily Liturgy Podcast | I met this goal all but a few days.
  • Daily: Read Aloud | This was a struggle. I just need to make it a priority, especially on non-school days.
  • Weekly: Move my body | I failed at this goal this month. I am definitely in a slump with exercise. Hopefully June can turn it around for me.
  • Weekly: Family Fun or Bucket List | Did this every week!
  • Weekly: Spend time with each child individually | I missed one week for one child, again, but overall continued progress here! And it is paying off in closer relationships with my kids.
  • Weekly: Listen to a homeschool podcast | I did this goal each week too, it has been a highlight of my week to listen in to one of my favorites.
  • Weekly: Listen to a chapter of Try Softer | I did this every week and I am almost done with the audiobook. It's been so good!
  • Monthly: Have a date with Michael | Again it looked different, but I thoroughly enjoy the time together, even just at home.
  • Monthly: Read 2 chapters of The Storm-Tossed Family | I again exceeded this goal and I just finished the book last night!
  • Monthly: Celebrate Michael's Birthday | It was a great celebration with a little surprise too!

Currently Reading

  • Try Softer | Like I mentioned above, I am almost done with the audiobook version and I have really enjoyed this book.
  • Simply Tuesday | I am LOVING this book!

Homeschool News

  • No big news this month. I guess that's not a bad thing. We are indeed eager to finish out our formal school year in two weeks!

My Favorite Things

  • Goal planning with my daughter! We took the picture above to celebrate! Here's more information!
  • Sweet tea. It's my reward with dinner if I drink all my water for the day!
