July in Review

Toward the end of each month, I post a review of my goals, what I'm currently reading, a homeschool update, YouTube videos from that month, as well as other tidbits of information. I hope you like these monthly posts, they are usually well received. Let me know if you'd like to see other information in this roundup!

July Goals

You can find all of my 2020 goals here. Here are my July goals with updates:
  • Daily: Drink 3 water bottles | I started out strong and then fizzled out, as you'll see below I did the same with my food choices.
  • Daily: Eat Healthy | Started strong and then lost my discipline.
  • Weekly: Move my body two times | I met this goal every week. I'm really proud of that!
  • Weekly: Family Fun or Bucket List | We did this half of the time.
  • Weekly: Spend time with each child individually | I met this goal every week except while I was in Ohio.
  • Weekly: Get in the pool | I did this each week as well, except for the one week I was in Ohio.
  • Weekly: Plan out my meals | I accomplished this goal every week.
  • Monthly: Have a date with Michael | Yes! And it was so fun to get out again. We cashed in a gift card from Christmas.
  • Monthly: Welcome my new nephew | Done! And such a treat. I'll share more done below in my favorite things section.
  • Monthly: Get school room set up | I was excited to get this done before heading to Ohio so that we would be in a good place to start our new school year once I got back.
  • Monthly: Start our new homeschool year | Done! We are finishing up our first week today.

Currently Reading

  • The Call of the Wild and Free | I am loving this book. I'm almost done and kind of sad to be done with it, to be honest. It didn't start how I expected. But it is finishing strong!
  • Every Body Matters | This one has been really good too.

Homeschool News

  • We are officially finishing up the first week of our new homeschool year today! Man, it has been kind of overwhelming. I tried to do too much right at the beginning and I don't know why I did that. I definitely believe in a gradual start, I just didn't take my own advice!!

YouTube Videos

My Favorite Things

  • Visiting my newest nephew!!! I got to stay for a week in Ohio visiting and helping my sister and her family and their newest addition. Just look at this cuteness above! It was such a special treat and I'm so thankful to my husband who made it happen! Side note and not a favorite thing: I miss my sister already!
  • Steak Quesarito from Taco Bell. This is definitely not the healthiest choice!!! But man, it is so good. I ate it on my trip up to Ohio and just haven't been able to get it out of my mind.
  • Hamilton. Gosh. No words. It's so good.
