How I Make Meaningful Progress on My Goals

We all have things that are important to us, but yet we struggle to make time for or make progress on. Right? Or is it just me???

I have all these ideas and dreams for my life, but often forget them in the midst of my busy day-to-day reality.

I get stuck in survival mode or just going through the motions without putting much thought into what I'm doing. Then the days breeze on by and there's little to no movement forward in my life. I'm stuck.

But friends, there is another way!

We can make meaningful progress on what is important to us! We can change our lives one step at a time.

I have personally seen the power that setting goals can have in a person's life, mainly my own, and using tools to help move me forward on those goals.

It's a process. We don't go and change our lives in one big hoorah. It takes time. Little by little making new choices and developing new habits and making progress. We don't just arrive.

But isn't that the beauty of it? Think about gardening. We don't just plant seeds and the next day there are flowers. We have to tend to our garden, watering it, watching it grow. Then one day, after a whole lot of work, there's the bloom! And we celebrate that bloom because we've seen and know the effort it took to get there.

Life is a lot like that.

Setting my 2020 goal to rediscover the joy of homeschooling happened like that. I worked on it and worked on it and built habits to encourage me and little by little I found my joy again. I achieved my goal one small step at a time.

So how does one make meaningful progress on what matters?

We uncover what is important to us. We set meaningful goals around those things that matter the most. We break down our goals into small but mighty actionable steps. Then we do the work.

That may seem easy peasy or maybe it seems really difficult. Wherever you fall on that spectrum, I know just the tool that can help you find your way!

Enter Powersheets.

This tool has truly changed my life.

Powersheets walk you through the amazing prep work to uncover what is important to us. You sift through your priorities to find what matters most.

Then you are guided through the steps to set meaningful goals around those areas of your life that you want to see change. You think about what steps you might need to take to get to where you want to go.

Then each month you break down your goals into those small but mighty actionable steps to make what matters happen! You divide them into monthly, weekly, and daily tasks on the Tending List. That's the page that gets the most action in my Powersheets! You can see my Tending Lists on each of my monthly goal posts.

From there you have to do the work. This is where the rubber meets the road. You can't just fill out your Tending List and close your Powersheets and move on. Put it somewhere you will see it and reference it each day to see what kind of progress you are making.

This is the number one tool that I recommend to women that are wanting to see change in their lives!

Maybe that's you? I'd encourage you to consider investing in your future!

The 2021 Powersheets Collection launches today and I thought I would give you a rundown of how I make meaningful progress on my goals thanks to this amazing tool!
